- Mariela Pizarro, an undergraduate at Stanford, describes her experience attending the Women’s March in San Francisco. Pizarro describes how her elementary school and her parents helped to inspire her activism with celebrations of Cesar Chavez. She describes the chanting and signs she observed in San Francisco, as well as the massive crowds of people. She also relates how her identity as a person of color influenced her views on the march. Pizarro is an active member of the MEChA club at Stanford, and she briefly describes some of the club’s activism.
