- Summary
- CCCC MS 85 contains a fourteenth-century copy of John of Freiburg OP (c. 1250-1314), Summa confessorum, a manual for the carrying out of the sacrament of confession. John of Freiburg's work was very influential on the continent and the Summa played a role in disseminating Thomist thought. James notes that this manuscript may be in a German hand, but beyond that, its provenance remains unknown.
