Note | California shown with two northern bays and labeled Isle de Californie. Numerous points are named, and many islands separate it from the mainland. Agubela de Cato to the north. The hemispheres are surrounded by text and vignettes. The text includes a table containing about 30 different European town measurements for the length of one foot. The vignettes depict thunder, lightening, winds, volcanoes, and tides. Three cherubs hold up a coat of arms. Also shown are an eclipse of the sun and the moon. Dedication: Ano S Seig.
