- Patricia Pearce Jones, the Dr. Nancy Chang Professor in Humanities and Sciences, Emerita, speaks about her early life and education, her training in immunology, and her career in the Department of Biology at Stanford. Patricia Pearce Jones received her bachelor’s degree from Oberlin College with highest distinction in Biology and her doctoral degree with distinction from the Johns Hopkins University. Following postdoctoral training at the University of California, San Francisco supported by an Arthritis Foundation fellowship, and at Stanford University supported by a National Science Foundation fellowship, she joined the Stanford faculty in 1978 where she is now the Dr. Nancy Chang Professor of Humanities and Sciences.
