Note | Rare 1552 edition of Munster's map of the Rhine River Valley, from Lintzn, Bonn and Coln to Dordrecht, Amsteram, Brille and Delft. This edition of the map can be distinguished by the gradient lines for Longitude and Latitude, which appears only in this edition of Munster's Geographia. Shows Antwerp, Brussels, Louvain, Maastricht, Mechlin, Munster, Breda, Liege, and other major cities. One of the earliest obtainable modern maps of the region. From the 1552 edition of Munster's Geographia, one of the most important 16th Century geographical books. |
