About 7) the Woodwinds article published in the Galpin Society Journal: Benade during his illness realized that his 1984 typescript could, with only a little work, be made appropriate for submission to the Galpin Society for publication. He suggested that his former student, Doug Keefe, be asked if he might want to help with this article and also with a write-up on the NX clarinet. Doug expanded it considerably, and included his mentor as co-editor. Benade, member of the Galpin Society for many years, was asked to submit some of his writing for the Journal.
