Bibliographic information
Note | Later edition - probably published in 1838. Many of the maps that are dated 1833 in the first 1836 edition, are here dated 1836 and have substantial changes in counties, etc. The World map is dated 1833 in the first issue and 1836 in this later issue. This is quite a different production from the earlier 1836 edition. Bound in half leather, brown cloth with leaf design covered boards, with "Tanner's New Universal Atlas." stamped in gilt on the front, and "Tanner's Universal Atlas." along the spine. Maps in full color. |
