Biographical/Historical | From a manuscript which comprised the third and fourth Gospels and The Canonical Epistles, glossed, in 105 leaves. The Gloss on St. John was composed in the eleventh century by Anselm of Laon (d. 1117) and the Gloss on the Canonical Epistles probably dates from about 1100 and may be the work of Anselm or his brother Ralph (d. 1133). |
