Bibliographic information
Note | Langhans was a promoter of German settlement in all parts of the globe and this atlas delineates in a cartographically sophisticated manner the extent of those settlements. As a thematic atlas it is very important, although it is not in Robinson or Espenhorst. Quarter bound with dark maroon covers and gilt lettering, "Deutscher Kolonial-Atlas von Paul Langhans" with logo of eagle perched on globe. Gilt lettering on spine, "P. Langhans, Deutscher Kolonial-Atlas". Text sections include list of source maps.
