Abstract: This polygon dataset shows the locations of oil and gas basins in North America. This layer includes data for all basins as of Fall Quarter 2012.
Purpose: This layer is intended to assist users in locating and analyzing oil and gas basin data in North America and may be used for basic applications such as viewing, querying, and map output production, or to provide a basemap to support graphical overlays and analysis with other spatial data.
