Note | Arthur Benade kept the following correspondence (1956-1987) separately from the alphabetically organized group. Much of this correspondence deals with lecture invitations (including Benade's lecture notes) and inquiries on various acoustical matters; the former letters have been identified by the title of the talk, followed by the place and institution where the lecture took place, the latter by the acoustical topic discussed and Benade's correspondent. Materials beyond letters are described, such as (notes, diagrams, and calculations). Letters of lesser importance, such as the request for a reprint, or a recommendation letter for students are included but not mentioned. |
