Bibliographic information
Biographical/Historical note | A Juilliard graduate and professional string player (violin, viola, cello) who was very active in promoting chamber music groups, especially informal ones for her many students and fiddling associates, where she was wonderful at encouraging and developing a real feel for the glorious literature of chamber music. She owned and played a Steiner cello and violin inherited from her father. She was most helpful to CMH in comparing the tonal qualities of various instruments. Libby moved from nearby West Orange to Valdosta, Georgia in 1985. |
